Her mother pondered

As she watched her wonder

What was going on with her indeed

“It is her thoughts she can’t but deny

That refuse to bring her back to thee.”

With a sullen smile

Her mother cried

Her Lover’s approaching demise.

“Oh what is it, that you call so devine

My daughter who is she.”

She wept and bled

As she watched her heart melt

Over her mother’s phrase.

“If ice could flame

And fire could tame

You’d get my lover’s name.”

Her lover stepped in

And out too quick

For her mother to have

Caught a glimpse

“Oh lord she survived”

Her mother’s voice tried

But she couldn’t catch her breath.

“Oh lord she survived”Her mother’s voice tried But she couldn’t catch her breath
